William (Will) Stephens, 85, retired farmer of Carrsville community, died Tuesday night in Southampton Memorial Hospital after an illness of several weeks. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2:30 p.m. in the W.J.M. Holland Funeral Home by the Rev. Donald E. Trump, pastor of Colosse Baptist Church, and the Rev. Edwin C. Thornton, Jr., pastor of Beaver Dam Baptist Church. Burial will be Colosse Baptist Church Cemetery. A native of Isle of Wight County, he was a member of Colosse Baptist Church and was the husband of the late Jennie Hines Stephens. He is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Homan Powell and Mrs. Presley Carr of Zuni, Mrs. Frank Culdens of Walters and Mrs. Curtis Rhodes of Carrsville; three sons, J.J. Stephens of Carrsville, J.W. Stephens of Walters and F.A. Stephens of Franklin; 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. ****************************************************************************** D.
