William (Will) Stephen, 85, was held in Holland Funeral Chapel here Thursday at 2:30 p.m. by the Rev. Donald E. Trump and the Rev. Edwin C. Thornton Jr. Burial was at Colosse Church Cemetery. Mr. Stephens, a retired farmer, died Tuesday in Southampton Memorial Hospital after illness of several weeks. A son of Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Cones Stephens of Isle of Wight County, he was the husband of the late Mrs. Jennie Hines Stephens. He was a member of Colosse Baptist Church. Survivors are four daughters, Mrs. Homan Powell and Mrs. Pressley Carr of Zuni, Mrs. Frank Cutchins of Walters and Mrs. Curtis Rhodes of Carrsville; three sons, J.J. Stephens of Carrsville, J.W. Stephens of Walters and F.A. Stephens of Franklin; 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
