MATTIE BARLOW SMITH 

  Funeral services for Mrs. Mattie Barlow Smith were held on Friday afternoon 
at 3 o'clock in the Mill Swamp Cemetery.

  Rev. E.E. Henley conducted the services, assisted by Rev. E.W. Somerville 
and Rev. L.F. Paulette. The hymns "Old Rugged Cross" and "Crossing The Bar" 
were given.

  The casket was covered with a spray of lilies and chrysanthemums.

  Active pallbearers were Messrs. Andrew Jones, Willie Bell, Fenton Jones, 
Fred Rife, Jesse Edwards, John F. Barlow, Gurley Barlow, and Gordon Barlow.

  The Bethany Missionary Circle served as honorary pallbearers.
