Burial will be in Antioch Christian Church Cemetery. Mr. Saunders, 87, retired farmer, died Wednesday morning at Obici Memorial Hospital after a short illness. He was a native of Isle of Wight County and had lived in Smithfield the last five years. He was a son of George W. and Mrs. Jody Hall Saunders. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Effie Wrenn Saunders; three daughters, Mrs. Thomas Latimer and Mrs. Diego Delgardo of Smithfield and Mrs. Francis D. Landers of Milan, Ill.; two sons, Donald G. Saunders of Smithfield and Finley L. Saunders of Petersburg; four brothers, Roy Saunders, Allen Saunders and Edward Saunders of Suffolk and Clyde Saunders of Windsor; four sisters, Mrs. Thomas Eure of Suffolk, Mrs. Joseph Cook and Mrs. Percy L. Britt of Ivor and Mrs. Robert Cook of Surry, and eight grandchildren. ****************************************************************************** G. F. Saunders, 67, Buried August 19 In Antioch Cemty. George Finley Saunders, 67, of Smithfield, retired farmer, died Wednesday morning, August 17, 1960 in the Obici Hospital after a short illness. He was a native of Isle of Wight County and had lived in Smithfield the last five years. He was a son of George W. and Mrs. Jody Hall Saunders. A funeral service was held at the Bullock Funeral Home Friday, August 19, at 3 P.M. conducted by Rev. Warren F Taylor. Burial was in Antioch Christian Church cemetery. Pallbearers were D.D. Francis, Jeff Francis, Leslie Harrup, Jesse O'Berry, Paul W. Joyner and F.A. Holland.
