Roy Junius Saunders 

  WINDSOR - Roy Junius Saunders, 67, died Saturday, July 21, at Louise Obici 
Memorial Hospital, Suffolk. 

  Mr. Saunders was a native of Southampton County.  He was a retired farmer, 
a member of the Bethany Presbyterian Church of Zuni, a member of the Tucker 
Swamp Hunt Club, the Zuni Hunt Club, the Suffolk Moose Lodge #141, and a 
charter member of the Zuni Ruritan Club.  He was the son of the late Roy Lee 
Saunders. 

  Survivors include his wife, Doris Perkins Saunders; a daughter, Mary Alice 
Saunders of Zuni; a son, Thomas Earl Saunders of Windsor; his mother, Myrtle 
Pittman Saunders of Smithfield; a sister, Mrs. Lottie S. O'Berry of 
Smithfield; a brother, Ben L. Saunders of Windsor; two stepdaughters, Lynn 
Bunch Lambert of Hampton, and Kelly Rose Bunch of Charlotte, N.C.; and three 
grandchildren and five step-grandchildren. 

  Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. in Purviance Funeral Home, Wakefield, 
on Tuesday, July 24, officiated by the Rev. Stephen N. Weed.  Burial was in 
the Mill Swamp Baptist Church Cemetery, Ivor.
