William K. Saunders Buried Dec. 31st 

  Funeral services for William K. Saunders were conducted Sunday afternoon 
December 31st, at Antioch Christian Church by the Rev. Jack E. Boyles and Rev. 
T. Fred Wright. 

  He was the son of the late Joe Goodman and Virginia Barrett Saunders, and 
was a life-long resident of the Windsor Community of Isle of Wight County. 

  He is survived by his widow, [the former] Miss Dana Bradshaw, and two 
daughters, Mrs. J.W. Carr of Baltimore, Md., and Mrs. H.E. Pierce; and one 
grandchild, Jo Ann Pierce of Windsor; a number of nieces and nephews, and a 
host of friends.  Hundreds of people gathered to pay their last tribute of 
love to him. 

  There were many lovely floral designs.  Active pallbearers were W.H. 
Johnson, S.T. Holland, J. Frank Lawrence, J.T. Godwin, J.H. Bowden and W.H. 
Gay.  Members of his S.S. Class and other friends acted as honorary 
pallbearers. 

  The male quartette of Colosse Baptist Church rendered the folowing 
selections - "The Haven of Rest," "Looking This Way," and "The Beautiful 
Land." 

  Mr. Saunders was an active member of Colosse Church.
