Todd Buried April 17th At Old St. Luke's Miss Diana Mildred Todd, 87, the only surviving daughter of the late Major Everard Moore Todd and Nancy Robinson Southall, died Thursday at her old home (The Hills) near Smithfield. She was born in Hickory, N.C., where her father was stationed during the War Between the States as head of the Commissary Department. Brought back to Smithfield in her infancy after the war, she lived her entire life at the old Todd home, which was built by her great-grandfather, Capt. Mallory Todd, prior to the Revolutionary War. She was a member of the Christ Episcopal Church in Smithfield, and for some years had been its oldest member. Services were conducted at Old St. Luke's Episcopal Church, Isle of Wight County Friday at 4 P.M. by the Rev. Spencer Williams, rector of Newport Parish, assisted by the Rev. William Brayshaw, former rector of the parish. Burial was in the Todd family lot within the shadow of Old St. Luke's.
