KATHERINE ELIZABETH TALIAFERRO 

Miss Katherine Elizabeth Taliaferro, age 89, of Isle of Wight, died Saturday 
in Autumn Care Nursing Home.  Miss Taliaferro, a native of Essex County, was 
retired as Clerk of the Isle of Wight County Selective Service Board.  She was 
a member of the Upper Essex Baptist Church and attended the Smithfield Baptist 
church.  Surviving are one niece, Mrs. Katherine Walls, Smithfield; two 
nephews, Body Taliaferro, of Hemet, Calif., and P. A. Taliaferro, Indian Head, 
Md.  Graveside services will be held Tuesday at 1 pm at the Upper Essex 
Baptist Church Cemetery, Caret, Va. with the Rev. Stephen Renaulds 
officiating.  The family will received friends from 7 to 8:30 pm. Monday 
evening at the Colonial Funeral Home, Smithfield.  The family requests 
memorial donations may be made to the Isle of Wight Rescue Squad.  Colonial 
Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
