He was the son of the late Samuel and Maggie Whitehurst Taylor and the widower of Ruth Hedgepeth Taylor. He was a member of Oxford Methodist Church. He resided at 307 Morgan St. Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Sarah Taylor Jones of Franklin and Miss Eva Taylor of Myrtle, one granddaughter, and four great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at I.O. Hill Funeral Home with Rev. J.C. Weaver, pastor of Oxford Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Antioch Christian Church cemetery. ****************************************************************************** Taylor Funeral Held Yesterday Funeral services for John Wesley Taylor, who died Sunday, were conducted Wednesday afternoon in the Hill Funeral Home by the Rev. James C. Weaver, pastor of Oxford Methodist Church. Burial was in Antioch Christian Church Cemetery. Pallbearers were Frank Jernigan, Douglas Evans, Clyde Rountree, Oscar Holland, Jack Munford, T.L. Jones, George Ferguson and W.S. Bass.
