He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Luby Lee Thomas; a daughter, Mrs. E.P. Gayle, of Newport News; two sons, J. Marvin Thomas, of Hilton Village, and Ellis Thomas, of Smithfield; two grandchildren, Joan Lee Thomas, of Hilton Village, and Roy Thomas Smithfield: a sister, Mrs. Annie Spiers, of Norfolk; six half-sisters, Mrs. Nora Sewell, Norfolk, Mrs. Clarence Gayle, Mrs. E.G. Schmidt, Mrs. William Blackwell, Mrs. O.S. Owen and Mrs. Betty Latimore, all of Isle of Wight County; two half-brothers, O.P. Thomas, of Newport News, and Duncan Thomas, of Fox Hill, and a cousin, Mrs. Ell Burge, Messick. The body was taken to the Baker Funeral Home where it will remain until 3 o'clock Sunday afternoon at which time it will be carried to tht Whitehead's Grove Baptist Church, Chuckatuck, to lie in state until 3:30 o'clock. Funeral services will be held at that time with Rev. J.F. Colston officiating. ****************************************************************************** Hold Services For Noah Thomas Last rites for Noah Frank Thomas, who died Friday morning at his home near Smithfield after a long illness, were conducted at 3:30 o'clock yesterday afternoon at Whitehead's Grove Baptist Church. Rev. William M. Jamerson, of Newport News, and Rev. J.F. Colston officiated. The casket was covered with a pall of pink carnations, pink gladioli and narcissus. Mrs. T.F. Gray sang "Life's Real Road to Heaven" as a solo selection, and Mrs. Barney Sexton and Mrs. Gray sang as a duet, "Safe In the Arms of Jesus." They were accompanied by Mrs. E.S. Ross. Pallbearers were Allie W. Horne, Jesse Barlow, B.B. Winall, L.L. Winall, Ralph Griffin and Seth Lankford. Burial was in the church cemetery.
