Major RICHARD SIDNEY THOMAS 

Suffolk, Va., March 28 - Major Richard Sidney Thomas, of the Third Battalion, 
Seventy-first Regiment, died at 5 o'clock this afternoon at this home in 
Smithfield, Va., aged thirty-three years.  The remains will be buried 
Wednesday with military honors.  He leaves a widow, who was Miss Eliza 
Southall, two children, father, mother, brother and sister.
