All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ ANNIE MAUDE FOWLER TURNER Mrs. Annie Maude Fowler Turner, 63, died at the home in Roxboro, N.C. of her daughter, Mrs. Irvin Walker, on Monday afternoon, September 29. She was the wife of Jacob Royal Turner and the daughter of William and Mary Etta Fowler of Isle of Wight County. Besides her husband and Mrs. Walker, she is survived by another daughter, Mrs. Doris Clarke of Semora, N.C.; two sons, Olie Turner of Franklin and Edward Turner of Ca.-Vel, N.C.; one brother, Claude Fowler of Norfolk; and nine grandchildren and one great grandchild. Funeral services for Mrs. Turner were conducted in the chapel of W.J.M. Holland & Sons on Wednesday afternoon, October 1, at 4 o'clock by Rev. Julian Motley, pastor of the Ca-Vel Baptist Church, and Rev. Edwin C. Thornton, pastor of Beaver Dam Baptist Church. Burial was in the cemetery at Mt. Carmel Christian Church, Isle of Wight County. The pallbearers were D.C. Blythe, Nattie Bradshaw, Herman Butler, Norman Howell, Robert Rideout, Cullie L. Vick, Percy A. Whitley and Everett Williams. Annie Maude (FOWLER; Mrs. Jacob R.)
