Turner Buried Wednesday Funeral services for Joseph Godwin Turner, a former resident of Suffolk who died Monday afternoon in Marion, Virginia, after a long illness, were held Wednesday afternoon at 3 o'clock in the chapel of the W.J.M. Holland Funeral Home in Franklin. The Rev. R. D. Stephenson conducted the services while burial followed in the Beaver Dam Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers were Payton [sic; Peyton] Turner, James Turner, Milton Turner, Willie Lee Turner, Clifton Turner, Lawrence Councill, Thomas White and Jack Little.
