LIZZIE H. TURNER Mrs. Lizzie Howell Turner, 57*, wife of Richard T. Turner, died Tuesday morning at 1 o'clock. She has been in ill health for some time. Besides her husband, Mrs. Turner is survived by three sisters, Mrs. W.N. English, of Courtland; Mrs. W.E. Parker and Mrs. Arthur Drewry, of Walters; four brothers, P.D. Howell of Chuckatuck; Linwood Howell, of Franklin; Clayton Howell, of Henderson, N.C., and Norman Howell, of Walters. Funeral services were conducted at the grave at Mount Carmel Christian Church in which Mrs. Turner held membership, Wednesday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock by the Rev. R.E. Crutchfield, assisted by the Rev. H.V. Carroll, of the Windsor Baptist Church and the Rev. Mr. Henley of the Methodist Church. The hymns "Abide With Me" and "Nearer My God to Thee" were sung by the choir. Active pallbearers were her nephews, William English, A.D. English, Staley Parker, and J.D. Johnson.
