MISS LOUISA TURNER 

  Miss Louisa Turner died at the residence of her nephew, Mr. James E. Turner, 
No. 805 East Clay Street, yesterday morning at 6:40 o'clock. 

  She was formerly of Isle of Wight County, but had lived here for some years. 
She is survived by one sister, Mrs. William H. Baker, of Henrico County.  She 
also leaves several nieces and nephews.  She was eighty years of age. 

  The remains will be taken to her old home in Isle of Wight tomorrow and the 
funeral will take place after the arrival of the steamer at Fergusson's Wharf.

She was the daughter of Povall TURNER & Lucinda "Lucy" ALVIS, 
   who m. 20 Apr 1822 in Chesterfield Co. 

The family appeared in the 1860 Census in New Kent Co. 

Louisa, 43, appeared in the 1870 Census in Richmond, with her mother, 65, and 
   her sister Martha J., 34. 

Lou appeared in the 1900 Census at 411 N. 27th St., Richmond, with her widowed 
   sister Maria Emily (TURNER; Mrs. Richard P.) PILKINTON.  Maria & Richard 
   are buried in Hollywood Cemetery, Richmond. 

Her mother, b. ca. 1803 in Chesterfield Co., d. 12 Jul 1876 in Richmond, 
   of Typhoid fever.  (Richmond D.Reg. #1420) 

Martha, b. May 1837, m. William H. BAKER about 1874.  They appear in the 1900 
   Census in Varina Dist., Henrico Co. 

Widowed, William (1840 - 1921) 2m. widow Ann Rebecca (FUQUA) PEARMAN in 1908. 
   They are buried in Willis Methodist Church Cemetery, Henrico Co.
