Turner, died at a Norfolk hospital Sunday, December 20, 1953 at 8:10 a.m. She was the daughter of the late Isaac N. and Martha Delk Jones. She is survived by 4 daughters, Mrs. R.D. Cake and Mrs. E.A. Lester, both of Norfolk, Mrs. G.U. Mason of Florence, Alabama, and Mrs. John L. Chase of Chapel Hill, N.C.; a son, the Rev. C.A. Turner, Jr. of Richmond; 2 sisters, Mrs. G.W. Seward and Mrs. Charles Stringfield, both of Newport News and 2 grandsons, R.D. Cake, Jr. and Allen Lester, both of Norfolk and C.A. Turner, III of Richmond. She was a native of Smithfield and had been a resident of Norfolk of 35 years, living at 6401 Powhatan Avenue. She was a member of the Park Place Methodist church and the Women’s Wesley Bible Class. Funeral services will be conducted at the Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home Tuesday, December 22, 1953 at 12:00 noon by the Rev. Roland P. Riddick, pastor of the Park Place Methodist Church and the Re. J.A. Chapman, pastor of Smithfield Methodist Church. Burial will be in Ivy Hill Cemetery, Smithfield. Pallbearers: F. Jones Turner, Walter L. Turner, J.D. Seward, Marshall Stringfield, R.W.
