A native of Isle of Wight County, he was a son of Jacob Allen and Mrs. Florida Bowden Turner. He was a member of Colosse Baptist Church and a retired farmer. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Murrell Parker Turner; two sisters, Mrs. Jual T. Harrell of Norfolk and Mrs. Floyd A. Carr of Suffolk; and two brothers, Eldredge E. Turner of Zuni and J. Fletcher Turner of Hampton. A funeral service was held Sunday at 2:30 p.m. in Purviance Funeral Chapel, Wakefield by the Rev. Donald E. Trump and the Rev. Harry B. Christie. Burial was in Colosse Church Cemetery near Windsor. Pallbearers were: Junie Saunders, Talmadge Edwards, Earnest Wellons, Paul Joyner, Oscar Rhodes, Edgar Bryant, Garland S. Whitley and T. M.
