B.V. Madison, pastor. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The body will be taken from the Bullock Funeral Home to the Church at 2 p.m. Mr. Turner, 60, farmer and retired Norfolk Naval Shipyard employee, died Monday morning at Obici Memorial Hospital, Suffolk, after a short illness. A son of George Franklin and Anna Purvis Turner, he was a native of Isle of Wight County. He had lived at Myrtle, Nansemond County, nine years. He was a member of Whitehead's Grove Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Grace Nurney Turner; four daughters, Mrs. Thomas Major of Newport News, Mrs. Lee Hawley of Hampton, Mrs. Paul Yewici of Williamsburg and Miss Mary Turner of Suffolk; four sons, Vernon W. Turner, Raymond E. Turner, Donald Bruce Turner and G. Wayne Turner of Suffolk; his step-mother, Mrs. Fanny Turner of Eclipse; a sister, Mrs. J.W. Spady, and a brother, L.A. Turner of Newport News; two half-sisters and five half-brothers of Eclipse and five grandchildren.
