Carmel Christian Church by the Rev. Curtis Hoffman, pastor of the Colosse Baptist church, and the Rev. Ellis Clark, pastor of the Christian Church. He was buried in Holly Lawn Cemetery. Young Turner was crushed when a tractor overturned while working it on his father’s farm on June 2. He lingered until last Friday. A graduate of Windsor High School, he was well known in the community where he had spent his brief life. He was the son of J. Sepha and Ethel Carr Turner of Windsor, a member of Colosee Baptist Church and the Order of Woodman of the World. Besides his parents, he is survived by one sister, Mrs. W.H. Taylor of Portsmouth. Funeral arrangements were made by the W.J.M. Holland & Sons Funeral Home in Franklin. Pallbearers were William Edwards, Bennie Duck, Thurmond Parker, George H. Hedgepeth, Claud Scott, Newman Beale, Jr., Bobby Carr, and Gerald White.
