All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ WILLIAM HENRY TURNER Funeral service for William Henry Turner, 64, who died early Thursday morning, January 9, at home in Zuni, were conducted Saturday at 2:30 p.m. in the chapel of W.J.M. Holland and Sons Funeral Home by Rev. J. Sidney Cobb of Windsor, former pastor of Colosse Baptist Church. Mr. Turner was the husband of Mrs. Diana Garris Turner and the son of Mrs. Henriette Spivey Turner and the late Jordan J. Turner. He was a member of Colosse Baptist Church. Besides his wife and mother, he is survived by six sons, Winifred E. Turner of Warwick, Leland G. Turner of Suffolk and William Edward Turner, Jack Roberts Turner and Meredith Turner, all of Franklin, and Roland C. Turner of Zuni; one daughter, Miss Madeline Turner of Zuni; 14 grandchildren; three sister, Mrs. K.B. Rhodes of Windsor, Mrs. Carlton Outland of Carrsville and Mrs. W.A. Gray of Emporia, and a number of nieces and nephews. Burial was in Colosse Baptist Church Cemetery. Active pallbearers were S.A. Hines, Sherman Johnson, O.W. Powell, Cephas Turner, Homer Powell, Esmond Ellis, Fred Duck and Lud Spivey.
