Uzzell, 69, Suffolk resident for the past years, will take place tomorrow at 4:30 p.m. at the Bethany Presbyterian Church in Zuni. Interment will be in the Central Hill Cemetery. Formerly a watchman for the American Lumber Company here, Uzzell passed away at 4:18 p.m. Saturday in his home on York Street, after a long illness. The remains will rest in the R. W. Baker Funeral Home until 4 p.m. Monday. Before moving to Suffolk, Uzzell had lived all his life in Isle of Wight County near Zuni. He was a member of the Bethany Presbyterian Church there. He leaves three sons, William N. Uzzell, Zuni; Arthur W. Uzzell, Suffolk. Also two daughters, Mrs. L.C. Glancy, Philadelphia; and Mrs. Mary May Allison, Suffolk. Three brothers, V.K. Uzzell, Suffolk; O.C. [sic; Ocie J.*] Uzzell, Isle of Wight County; and Jeter Uzzell, Windsor. And five grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. ****************************************************************************** Mack M. Uzzell Buried Yesterday Funeral services for Mack Mallory Uzzell were conducted by the Rev. T.T. Traynham,. Jr., at the Bethany Presbyterian Church in Zuni at 4:30 o’clock yesterday afternoon. The church choir sang "The Old Rugged Cross" and "Where We Will Never Grow Old." Mrs. N.F. Carr sang a solo "Abide With Me." All were accompanied by Miss Betty Anne Rainey. The casket was covered with a pall of white carnations and white and lavender asters. Pallbearers were R.L. Sadler, E.T. Rowell, T.M. Carr, S.P.A. Rainey, T.M. Carr, Jr., O.E. Bradshaw, W.J. Joyner and E.L. Bryant. Burial took place in the Central Hill Church Cemetery. ****************************************************************************** Mack M. Uzzell Buried Monday At Central Hill Mack M. Uzzell, 69, resident of Suffolk, and former resident of Zuni, died at his home in Suffolk Saturday at 4:18 PM. He is survived by three sons, William N., of Zuni; Arthur W. and M.M. Jr., all of Suffolk; two daughters, Mrs. L.C. Glancy of Philadelphia, and Mrs. Mary Allison of Suffolk; five grandchildren and three brothers, Z.K. [sic; V.K.*] of Suffolk, Ocie, of Isle of Wight County and Jeter, of Windsor. He was a member of Bethany Presbyterian Church, Zuni. Funeral services were held on Monday at 4 PM at the Bethany Presbyterian Church, Zuni. Burial was in Central Hill Cemetery in Isle of Wight County.
