Uzzell, 78. husband of Mrs. Clara Bland Uzzell, of Windsor, died this morning in Riverside Hospital, Newport News, after a long illness. He was a retired farmer and a native of Isle of Wight County. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. G. W. Hargrave, of Warwick City, and Mrs. Percy Rife, of Smithfield; four sons, Letcher Thomas Uzzell, of Newport News, Otney Uzzell, of Zuni, Melvin M. Uzzell, and W. Jack Uzzell, both of Windsor, 16 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted tomorrow at the Pine Grove Assembly of God Church at 2:30 by the Rev. Kent Reckley, pastor and the Rev. V.M. Dullabum, of Newport News. Burial will be in the Central Hill Church Cemetery. The body will be taken from the Jones Funeral home to the church at 1:30, where it will lie in state until the hour of the funeral. ****************************************************************************** OCIE J.
