Dr. W. Clyde Adkins, of Baltimore, Md.; Rev. C.S. Morgan, pastor of the Antioch, and Rev. T.M. Tombes, of Central Hill, officiated. The pall was of white gladioli and red roses. A solo, "Sunrise Tomorrow" was sung by Mrs. George H. Wilson, and a duet, "Life's Railway To Heaven," by Miss Winifred Clements and Miss Carolyn Edwards, accompanied by Mrs. W.C. Wilkins. Pallbearers were John Godwin, M.L. Thorne, W.D. Joyner, Robert Sadler, Jim Stevenson [sic; Stephenson], Charlie Saunders, Rosser Robinson and George H. Wilson. Burial was in the church cemetery.
