Underwood Rites Held Yesterday 

  Funeral services for John Leon Underwood, who died Saturday at his home 
near Windsor, were held yesterday afternoon at Antioch Church in the county. 
Dr. W. Clyde Adkins, of Baltimore, Md.; Rev. C.S. Morgan, pastor of the 
Antioch, and Rev. T.M. Tombes, of Central Hill, officiated. 

  The pall was of white gladioli and red roses.  A solo, "Sunrise Tomorrow" 
was sung by Mrs. George H. Wilson, and a duet, "Life's Railway To Heaven," 
by Miss Winifred Clements and Miss Carolyn Edwards, accompanied by Mrs. W.C. 
Wilkins. 

  Pallbearers were John Godwin, M.L. Thorne, W.D. Joyner, Robert Sadler, Jim 
Stevenson [sic; Stephenson], Charlie Saunders, Rosser Robinson and George H. 
Wilson.  Burial was in the church cemetery.
