Vaughan, in Hunterdale Tuesday night after an illness of many months. She was the widow of George W. Vaughan, and the daughter of John R. and Elizabeth Vaughan Rose of Isle of Wight County. She was a member of the Beaver Dam Baptist Church since childhood. Surviving are nine sons; Randall B. Vaughan and Robert Vaughan of Portsmouth, John W. Vaughan and Ray Vaughan of Hampton, William W. Vaughan, Franklin, Clyde Vaughan, Windsor, Reginald E. Vaughan, Walters, George W. Vaughan, Newport News, and Garland Vaughan of Suffolk; 39 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren; one brother; Frank L. Rose of Windsor; two sisters; Mrs. Maude Griffin, Windsor and Mrs. Lillian Uzzell of Norfolk; number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held at the Beaver Dam Baptist Church today (Thursday) at 2 p.m. by her pastor, the Rev. Edwin C. Thornton, Jr., and the Rev. Harold Tribble, pastor of the Hunterdale Congregational Christian Church. Burial was made in Beaver Dam Church Cemetery, near Carrsville. Pallbearers were Arthur Howell, P.A. Whitley, E.H. Whitley, N.H. Bradshaw, John C. Rose and Edward Lankford.
