All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ MARTHA SPIVEY VAUGHAN WINDSOR - Mrs. Martha Spivey Vaughan, 83, well-known resident of the Colosse community, died Monday night at her home after a brief illness. She was the wife of James Hardy Vaughan, and the daughter of Benjamin A. and Mrs. Mary Louise Redd Spivey of Isle of Wight County. She was a member of the Colosse Baptist Church and the Woman’s Missionary Society. Surviving besides her husband are two sisters, Mrs. Ella Turner of Carrsville and Mrs. Ritter Turner of Windsor and Avile Spivey of Carrsville, and nieces and nephews. Funeral services were conducted at Colosse Baptist church of Wednesday at 3 p.m. by the pastor, the Rev. Donald E. Trump. Burial was in the church cemetery. Pallbearers were Melvin Spivey, James Spivey, Rodney Spivey, Benjamin Spivey, John Spivey, Stanley Lowe, Dr. Clem Crossland and Curtis Hines. Martha (SPIVEY; Mrs. James H.)
