WHITLEY DIES IN SUFFOLK Smithfield - Mrs. Eunice Minton Whitley, 86, widow of George Franklin Whitley, died Friday in a Suffolk hospital. Mrs. Whitley, who was active in church and civic affairs, was a member of the Smithfield Baptist Church, a charter member of the Smithfield Woman’s Club and of the Col. William Allen Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, a member of the United Daughters of the Confederacy and of the Association for the Preservation of Virginia Antiquities. Her husband had served as commonwealth’s attorney and as county judge of Isle of Wight County. She is survived by two sons, Circuit Judge George Franklin Whitley Jr. of Smithfield and Claud Minton Whitley of Richmond. A funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday at Colonial Funeral Home, Smithfield, with burial in Ivy Hill Cemetery. [Eunice (MINTON; Mrs. George F.
