Whitley Mrs. Sadie White Whitley, 88, the widow of M. Turpin Whitley, died Thursday afternoon in Riverside Hospital, Newport News. She was a native of Isle of Wight County. She was a member of First Congregational Christian Church, Hampton. Survivors include four sisters, Mrs. Nellie Barlow and Mrs. Lois McAlwee of Newport News, Mrs. Anna Byrd Benn of Portsmouth, and Mrs. Margaret Hall of Suffolk; and two brothers, Robert H. White of Portsmouth, and J.E. White of Isle of Wight County. The body was taken to R.W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home, Suffolk, where the family will be tonight from 7:30 to 9. A funeral will be held Saturday at 2:30 p.m. in Antioch Christian Church Cemetery by the Rev. Carl Wallace. Carl Wallace. Pallbearers were: Tazewell Whitley, Freeman Whitley, Robert Whitley, Frank Hall, Danny Benn and Jeryl White. R.W. Baker and Co.
