SADIE WHITE WHITLEY

   Suffolk - A funeral service for Mrs. Sadie White Whitley, 88, was held 
Saturday at 2:30 p.m. in Antioch Christian Church Cemetery by the Rev. Carl 
Wallace.

   The widow of M. Turpin Whitley, she died Thursday afternoon in Riverside 
Hospital, Newport News.

   She was a native of Isle of Wight county. She was a member of First 
Congregational Christian Church, Hampton.

   Survivors include four sisters, Mrs. Nellie Barlow and Mrs. Lois McAlwee of 
Newport News, Mrs. Anna Byrd Benn of Portsmouth and Mrs. Margaret Hall of 
Suffolk; and two brothers, Robert H. White of Portsmouth and J.E. White of Isle 
of Wight County.
