CHRISTOPHER C. WELLS

   IVOR - Funeral services for Christopher C. Wells, 68, were held Wednesday 
in Purviance Funeral  Chapel, Wakefield, by the Rev. Clark A. Wiseman.  Burial 
was in Mill Swamp Church cemetery.

   The husband of Jessie Bracey Wells* died Sunday in a Norfolk hospital.

   He was a lifelong resident of Isle of Wight County.  He was a farmer and a 
member of Mill Swamp Baptist Church.

   Other survivors include three sons, Christopher M.* Wells, Bobby Lee Wells, 
and William Henry* Wells of Ivor; a daughter, Henrietta A. Gobble of 
Petersburg; two brothers W.E. Wells of Wakefield and George Wells of Waverly; 
a sister, Henrietta W. Mumford of Norfolk; four grandchildren; and three great-
grandchildren.

 gives date of marriage to Jessie BRACEY (1909-1989) as 8 Apr 1931**. 
 {She was the daughter of Mills E. & Garry Ann (BROOKS) BRACEY, both buried at 
 Antioch Christian Church (mh).} 
 It also gives the decedent as Christopher C. Sr., and gives (adjacent?) 
 burials of William E. WELLS (1936-2003) & Christopher C.M. WELLS (1932-1981), 
 who may be identical with the sons named in the obit.
