Wells, 43, Buried March 10 At Central Hill Mrs. Mildred Stringfield Wells, 43, of Carrollton, died Wednesday, March 7, 1962, in the Mary Immaculate Hospital, Newport News, after a short illness. She was a native of Isle of Wight County, a daughter of James William and Mrs. Lillie B. Stringfield. Surviving are her widower, Andrew Lee Wells of Carrollton; five sisters, Mrs. C.A. Minton, Mrs. James Peden and Mrs. Joseph Stanley of Smithfield; Mrs. Martha Jones of Windsor, and Mrs. Mayward Wells of Isle of Wight; and a brother, Rufus Stringfield of Isle of Wight. A funeral service was held in Central Hill Cemetery Saturday, March 10, at 2:30 P.M. by the Rev. Warren F. Taylor, pastor of the Smithfield Baptist Church. Graveside services will be held Saturday at 2:30 p.m. at Central Hill Cemetery, with the Rev. Warren Taylor officiating.
