WINBORNE, 74, BURIED FRIDAY IN BEAVER DAM CEM. William Warwick Winborne, 74, former well known resident and farmer of the Carrsville community died unexpectedly March 24 at his home in Holland. Winborne was the husband of Mrs. Stella Beale Winborne of Holland, and son of Mrs. Martha Sarah Harrison Winborne, also of Holland, and the late Thomas P. Winborne of Nansemond County. He was a member of the Beaver Dam Baptist Church. Besides his wife and mother, Winborne is survived by three daughters; two sons, four grandchildren, two great-granddaughters and ten brothers and sisters. Funeral services were held Friday at 11 a.m. at the home, with the Rev. H.L. Foster, pastor of Holland Baptist Church, officiating. Burial was in Beaver Dam Cemetery. ****************************************************************************** WILLIAM WARWICK WINBORNE William Warwick Winborne, aged 74 years, a well-known retired farmer of the Carrsville community died suddenly at his home in Holland on Wednesday afternoon. He was the husband of Mrs. Stella Beale Winborne of Holland and the son of Mrs. Martha Sarah Harrison Winborne of Holland and the late Thomas P. Winborne of Nansemond County. For the past seven years he had made his home in Holland, where he was employed by the Holland-Jones Company. He was a member of the Beaver Dam Baptist Church. Besides his wife and mother, he is survived by three daughters and two sons, four grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and ten brothers and sisters. Funeral services were conducted at the residence this (Friday) morning at eleven o'clock by Rev. H.L. Foster, pastor of the Holland Baptist church, followed by interment in the Beaver Dam Church cemetery. Active pallbearers were A.R. Butler, John F. Duke, Jr., John E. Rose, Jr., Horace Thomas, J.T. Jones, Luther C. Doughtie, Jr., Junie Norfleet and Ayler Holland.
