All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ CARRIE LEE COOK WRIGHT Funeral services for Mrs. Carrie Cook Wright, 64, a resident of the Carrsville community, who died early Saturday morning, February 16, in a Richmond hospital, were conducted Sunday at 3 p.m. in the chapel of the W.J.M. Holland and Sons Funeral Home. Rev. Edwin C. Thornton, pastor of Beaver Dam Baptist Church, officiated. Mrs. Wright was the wife of James Harrison Wright of Carrsville and the daughter of the late William Cook and Mrs. Roxana Gray Cook. She was born in Southampton County, but had resided in Nansemond and Isle of Wight counties for many years. She was a member of Beaver Dam Baptist Church and of the Woman’s Missionary Society. Besides her husband, she is survived by two sons, James DeWitt Wright and Adron Lee Wright of Carrsville; one daughter, Mrs. Cecil Lee Miles of Carrsville; two grandchildren, James DeWitt Wright, Jr., and Sylviana Rose Wright of Carrsville; five sisters, Mrs. Lizzie Buggete of Suffolk, Mrs. Ada Holloman and Mrs. Lillian Worrell, both of Newsoms; Mrs. Ruth Brent of Como, N.C., and Mrs. Mattie Porter of Handsom; one brother, William C.
