EMILY POPE WRIGHT 

   A funeral service for Mrs. Emily Pope Wright, 80, of Carrsville, will 
be held Thursday, Oct. 21, at 3 p.m. in W.J.M. Holland and Sons Funeral 
Home by the Rev. Edwin C. Thornton Jr. of Beaver Dam Baptist Church.

   Burial will be in Beaver Dam Cemetery.

   A native of Southampton County and a resident of Isle of Wight for 60 
years, she was the widow of Joseph Aaron Wright and the daughter of James 
Albert and Mrs. Margaret Gray Pope.

   She was a member of Newsoms Methodist Church.

   Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Queenie Robertson and Mrs. Eunice 
Daughtrey of Carrsville and five grandchildren, William Glenn Robertson, 
Thomas W. Robertson, Kathryn A. Daughtrey, Sheila L. Daughtrey, and Robert 
S. Daughtrey of Carrsville.
