Holland & Sons Funeral Home, Franklin, by the Rev. Edwin C. Thornton Jr. of Beaver Dam Baptist Church. Pallbearers were J.D. Weaver, W.T. Winborne, L.E. Gardner Jr., John Edward Rose, William Rose, Edwin Bynum, John F. Duke Jr. and Ralph Outland. Wright, 93, the husband of the late Mrs. Missouri Johnson Wright [sic*], died Sunday at 6:30 p.m. in a Suffolk nursing home. A native of Isle of Wight County, he was a son of William Aaron and Mrs. Carrie Cook Wright. [sic*] He was a retired farmer and member of Beaver Dam Baptist Church. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Gladys Miles, and a son, J. DeWitt Wright, both of Carrsville; and three grandchildren.
