VIRGINIA COFER WARREN

   SMITHFIELD - Funeral services for Virginia Cofer Warren, 78, were held 
Wednesday in Colonial Funeral Home by the Rev. Warren F. Taylor.  Burial 
was in Ivy Hill cemetery.

   Warren died Monday in Riverside Memorial Hospital, Newport News.

   She was a native of Isle of Wight County and the widow of Dr. George 
Hugh Warren.

   She was a member of Smithfield Baptist Church, Smithfield Woman’s Club 
and Smithfield Shakespeare class.

   Survivors include a daughter, Georgia W. Drummond of Smithfield; a son, 
George Hugh Warren, Jr. of Newport News; two sisters, Rebecca C. Batten 
and Fletcher C. Darden of Smithfield; and six grandchildren.
