All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ Mrs. Bessie Yeoman Mrs. Bessie Batten Yeoman, wife of Benjamin Yeoman, of Isle of Wight County, died in a Newport News hospital Sunday. She was 52 years old. Survivors, besides her husband, include four daughters, Misses Elizabeth, Lucy, Katherine and Margaret Yeoman; two sons, Wilson and George Yeoman; her mother, Mrs. Ida Batten, of Smithfield; three sisters, Mrs James P. Cox of Smithfield, Mrs. B.B. Briggs of Suffolk, and Mrs. Fred Dean, of Roanoke; two brothers, J. Allen Batten of Richmond and Raymond N. Batten of Norfolk. Funeral services were held at the residence Tuesday morning at 1 o'clock with the Rev. L.O. Wilburn conducting the service. Burial was in Old St. Luke's Cemetery.
