In the Name of God Amen I Charles Edwards being Sick and Weak Butt of prfect Sence and memory do think fitt to make this My last Will and testament Revokeing all other Wills And testaments and all verbal wills by me heretofore made. First I give my Soul to Almighty God and faithfully Trusting that my blessed Redeemer Will receive my Spiritt and my body to the Earth to be decently buried att the discretion of my Exrx hereafter Named. Item I give to my well beloved Wife Mary Six pound Tobo: due from Mr: James Day as allso two thousand four hundred pounds of tobacco Due in hands of Christopher Dickenson as allso the pewter and Bedd Wth all the utensialls belonging to the Bedd being at the house of James Briggs Wth the Curtains and Vallins and allso what houshold Stuff and Untensialls as is in my house I also give to my loveing Wife One Bedd Excepted. Item I give unto James Briggs Junr Son of James Briggs Senr One hundred and 10: Acres of Land Adjoyning to George Stevens in the Isle of Wight County in Black water Commonly Knowne by the Name of fork and to the heires of his Body lawfully begotten and if the said James should Die wthout Issue then to Edmond Briggs and his Lawful Issue. Item I give to my Daughter Elizabeth One Shilling. Item I give to my Loving Daughter Sarah Briggs One feathr: Bedd wch is att my Own house and what furniture belonging to itt and six pewter dishes and Six plaites and One Ceder Chest one pewter Chandle Stick and Salt Seller and Diaper Table Cloath. I give unto James Briggs Senr. five hundred pounds of tobacco: in the hands of Mr: Thos: Ridley. Item I give unto my Grandson William Skelton a Silver Tankerd Cost £10. Item I give unto James Skelton my Grandson a Silver Tankerd Cost £7 as Allso 1000 lb Tobacco: in the hands of Mr Thomas Ridley. Item I give unto my Grand Daughter Sarah Skelton two thousand pounds Tobacco in the hands of Mr. Thomas Ridley. Item It is my Desire that my Grandson Thomas Skelton may be a Trustee to See all legacies given to my Brethren be paid. Item I Give my New Suitt of Cloaths a Serge Coat and Saggathy Jackett and breches to my Granson Charles Stevens.
