In the Name of God Amen: I John English being sick and weak but in perfect sense and memory, I make this my last will and testament, in the manner and form as followeth: I will and bequeath my soul to God who gave it to me, and my body to the earth to be buried in a decent manner. I will and bequeath to my loving daughter Frances Ilis all my pictures. I will and bequeath to my loving daughter Elizabeth Church ten shillings to buy her a ring. I will and bequeath to my loving son-in-law, John Watts, all my wearing apparel, both linen and woolen. I will and bequeath unto my Grand son John IIis the first fould that the maire bringeth. I will and bequeath to my Grand son John Watts the next maire fould my maire bringeth. I will and bequeath unto my daughter Alice Watts six yards of serge. I will and bequeath unto my three daughters Mary English, and Sarah English, and Martha English all the rest of my Estate as follows: Maires, and horses, and cattle, goods and household stuff, to be equally divided in kind and it is my will and desire that my daughter Francis Ilis and my son-in-law John Watts, to be my overseers, of this my will preformed, and to make a equal division between my three daughters of my estate, as witness my hand and Seal this 13tb day of August, 1678.
