ISLE OF WIGHT COUNTY, VA - WILLS - James FOWLER, 19 Nov 1799 ----¤¤¤---- [p.] 282 [...] [margin note] James FOWLER's} Will } In the Name of God Amen I James FOWLER of Isle of Wight County being sick & weakly in body but of perfect mind and memory thanks be to god for the same I do make and ordain this my last Will and Testament in form and manner as followeth Viz.t I give my Soul to the almighty God who gave it me in full hopes of eternal life secondly I commit my body to the earth to be buried Christian burial at the discression of my Executor. Item I give and bequeath to my Son John FOWLER on the north side of my land to a line of marked trees Begining at Joseph DUCK's line across my land to Benjamin BRADSHAW's line fifty Acres more or less and five shillings cash to him and his heirs forever and no more. Item I give and bequeath to my son Edward FOWLER the remainder of my land and my Plantation where on I now live fifty Acres more or less and five shillings cash to him and his heirs forever and no more. Item I give and bequeath the Remainder part of my Estate which is not already given away to be equally devided amongst my wife and my other three children (namely my wife Mourning FOWLER, and my son Abraham FOWLER my Daughter Anne FOWLER and my son Jobe FOWLER, to them and their heirs forever. Lastly I do hereby nominate and appoint my friend Joseph DUCK and my Son Abraham FOWLER to be my whole and sole Executors of this my last Will and Testament revoking all other Wills made by me.
