Will of Anthony Fulgham, Jr., 1678 - Isle of Wight County, VA Isle of Wight Co., VA, Record of Wills, Deeds, Etc., Vol. 2, pp. 168-69 abstracted by Matt HARRIS [brackets, line breaks, & surname capitalization mine] In the Name of God Amen, the last Will and Testament of Anthony FULGHAM, being Sick and weak in Body but in perfect Sence and Memory, first I give my Soul unto God from whom I received it being in Sure and Certain hopes of a Glorious Resurrection, in Jesus Christ and as for my worldly goods, I dispose as followeth: First I give and bequeath my Land I now live on Unto my Brother Nicholas FULGHAM to him and his heires male of his Boddy Lawfully begotten,: and if, in case he doth dye without heires male then I give my Land Unto my Brother John FULGHAMs Sonn Anthony FULGHAM, and in case that he doth dye without Issue then the Land to return to the female Children, of my Brother Nicholas FULGHAM, and in case he doth dye without Issue then the Land to return to my Brother Michael FULGHAM, and the heires female of his Body begotten Next I give Unto my Kinswoman Martha FULGHAM daughter to my Brother Micaell FULGHAM to her and her heires of her body Lawfully begotten One Hundred Acres of my Land which is Adjoining on the Land of Will_m LETTERS[?] and as for my goods w.ch is Remayning in the house it is my Will that my Deare Mother Enjoy it during her lifetime, with what Crop is now made to be disposed by her for the purchasing of Servants or otherwise to her likewise, & after her decease then my goods to be divided betweene my Brothers Nicholas and Michaell FULGHAM; and all the horses and Mares w.ch doth belong to me I give them Unto my Brothers Micaell and Nicholas FULGHAM, to be divided between them; and So likewise my Cattle: I give to them to be divided- I give Unto the Children of my Brother John FULGHAM, five Ewes w.ch is one apiece for them, with their Increase hereafter to be delivered Unto them at the discretion of my Brothers.
