Will of Peter Hayes 
Isle of Wight County, Virginia Deeds, Wills, Etc., Great Book, Volume 2, 
   1715-1726, second pagination, p. 63. 
Devised November 10, 1720, 
Proven February 27, 1720/21. 

In the name of God Amen, I Peter Hayes of ye upper Parrish of ye Isle of Wight 
County in Virga being very sick & weak of Body but of perfect sence & memory 
blest Be to god for it do think fitt to make this my Last will & Test[ame]nt 
in manner & forme Following That is to say 

first I Committ my Soule to god who gave it [ass]ureadly Trusting yt I shall 
Receive full pardon of all my Sins & in his ___ Eternall Life through ye Deth 
& meritts of my Blessed Saviour & redemer Jesus Christ & for all such worldly 
Estate as it hath pleased allmighty God to b[e] ____ I give & depose of as 
followeth Vizt. 

Item I give & bequeath to my Son Robert Hayes one ould mare & her increase & 
owne Cow & Calfe. 

Item I give unto ______ Jon Stevens & Peter Stevens t[w]o yearling heffers. 

Item I give & bequeath _____ [ ]ther Hase one young horse which is Called his 
horse. 

Item [I] give & bequeath u[nto] _____ [lov]ing Wife all ye remainder part of 
my Estate reall & personall & to her dispose ______ my Loving Wife Elisabh 
Hase to be my whole & sole Executrix of This my Las[t] ______ whereunto I have 
sett my hand & seale This 10 Day of Novembr 1720.

At a Cor[t] held for Isle of Wight County the 27th of Feb[r]uary 1720. 
The Last will & Testmt of Peter Hase was presented in Court by ye Executrix 
who made oath Thereto & ________d by ye oathes of Robt Hase & Wm Crocker 
Wittneses Thereto is admit[ted] __ [Re]cord.
