In the name of God amen 
I John HARRISS of the County of Isle of Wight, being very Sick and Weak in 
Body and knowing that it is appointed for men once to die do make and Ordain 
this my last Will and Testament, this 20th Day of February 1795:- 
Item.  I give and Bequeath unto my Brother Lewis HARRISS two Hundred and fifty 
Acres of Land and my griss Mill and all the Appirtenances there to and one 
Saddle: to him and his Heirs forever:- 
Item.  I give and Bequeath unto my Sisters Martha HARRISS and Ann HARRIS all 
the remainder Part of my Estate to them and their Heirs forever:- 
I do appoint to this my last Will and Testament my Brother Lewis HARRISS my 
hole and Sole Executor, as Witness my hand and Seal this 20 Day of February 
1795-

     At a Court held for Isle of Wight County the 1:st Day of June: 1795: 
This Will was presented in Court by Lewis HARRISS the Executor there in named 
who made Oath thereto According to Law and the same being proved by the Oaths 
of William HATCHEL; Mills STEVENS; and Benjamin TYNES the Witness there to and 
Ordered to be Recorded: 
And On the Motion of the said Executor who together with Benjamin TYNES his 
Security entred into and Acknowledged their Bonds in the penalty of two 
Thousand Pounds with Condition as the Law directs Certificate is Granted him 
for obtaining a probat thereof in due form-:
