ISLE OF WIGHT COUNTY, VA - WILLS - Thomas HARRIS 14 Mar 1688 Will 20 Apr 1689 Probate ----¤¤¤---- [p.] 285 [...] In the Name of God Amen I Thomas HARRIS of the Isle of wight County being Sicke and weake in body. but in Sound and perfict memory I doe first and principally bequeath my Soule Unto god almighty who gave itt, and Secondly my body to the Earth to be buried in a decent and Christian like maner and doe ordaine this to be my last Will and testament in Maner and forme as followeth 1.ly [sic] I doe give and bequeath Unto my welbeloved Sonne Edward HARRIS my plantation that now I live on with all my land belongeinge to itt, the Same to him and his heyres for Ever, alsoe one yoke of draught Steers, with a Cart belongeinge, Unto them, alsoe on greate Chest and Eight Ells of Sheetinge Canvas, three Iron Wedges one froe: one small fryinge pan 3.ly alsoe I doe give and bequeath Unto my welbeloved Sonne John HARRIS, one great Iron pott, two pewter dishes one biger then the other, one large fryinge pan one Iron pestle two Chests one Small table & one Coutch 4.ly alsoe I doe give Unto my welbeloved Sonne Thomas HARRIS fower pewter dishes and a flagon, two Salt Sellers one Small Iron pott one Cow one heyfer of two yeares ould one yearelinge heyfer 5.ly alsoe I doe give Unto my welbeloved Sonne Robert HARRIS one bed beinge part of floks[?] and feathers with all the furniture there Unto belongeinge, one Small Gun one house to be Sould for his use 6.ly I doe give Unto my welbeloved daughter Jane JONES Eight milke trayes 7.ly I doe give and bequeath Unto my welbeloved daughter Anne HARRIS one bed y.t I now ly Uppon with the furniture there unto belongeinge but in Case Shee dieth before Shee Cometh of age or marrieth then the bed with what belongeth [to itt] [page break] [p.] 286 Shall fall to my Sonne Robert HARRIS alsoe I give her a large brasse Ketle and one Iron pott Containeinge two or three gallons with two dozen pewter dishes but if Shee dyeth that the Same likewise fall to Robert and John HARRIS.
