All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ Thomas JOHNSON, will, Nov 1807 (proved 1 Feb 1808) [p.] 436 In the name of God amen, I Thomas Johnson of the County of Isle of Wight and parish of Newport being sick and weak in body but of perfect and sound memory thank be given to Almighty God, and Considering the mortallity of this Mortal life to [sic; do] make and ordain this my last will and testament, in manner and form following first and the principally, I give and bequeath my soul into the hands of ^ Almighty God my Creator hopeing through the pleasure Almughty God to bless me with, I Give devise and dispose thereof as followeth ___ I Give and bequeath to Lucy Mountford thirty pounds the same to her and her heirs forever ~ Item I Give and bequeath to John Powell Johnson all my Wright in the land which I live on, which I bought of Cass and Wester the same to him and his heirs forever _ Item I Give bequeath to John Powel Johnson my lands which I purchased of Drew Bracey and John Bracy likewise two negroes (Vizt.)
