ISLE OF WIGHT COUNTY, VA - WILLS - Zachariah Johnson ----¤¤¤---- I Zachariah Johnson of Isle of Wight County being in a weakly State of health but of a sound mind and memory and in considering the uncertainty of the continuance of this life doth make & ordain this to be my last will and testament in manner and form following ­ I desire that my Just debts first be paid and then I give and bestow my Personal Property in the following Manner ----- Item I have the use of all my land and plantation also all the other Property that I am in possession of to my wife Suckey Johnson during her widowhood for the purpose of raising and education of my Children. And Provided She and her Friends should think it best for her to move to the state of Ohio I have it in the Power of either Demsy Johnson William Wren or Abel Johnson to Sell and dispose of my Land and plantations and for them or either of them to Purchase as much land in the state of Ohio with the money thence arising as they may think most proper for the accommodation of my family And in case my Wife marry again it is my will and desire that she Shall have the use of one third of my land and other property only then remaining Item I give and bequeath after my wifes decease unto my Children Namely Jervice Johnson Albert Johnson William Johnson Richard Johnson and Almeda Johnson all my land and other property then remaining to be divided equaly among them to be unto them and their heirs forever Lastly I nominate and appoint my wife Suckey Johnson my whole and sole executrix to this my last will and testament ????????? and making void all other wills heretofore make by me as witness I have hereunto Set my hand and seal 25th day of 9th month 1811 ------------- Teste Zachariah .
