In the name of God amen the 15.th Day of August 1773 
I Isbel JOHNSON of the County of Isle of Wight being weak in Body but of Perfect mind and 
Memory thank's be given to God  Therefore  calling unto mind the Mortality of my Body and 
knowing that it is 
     appointed

Appointed once for all Christian People once to die I do make and Ordain this to be my last 
Will and Testament that is to say first and principally I Give my Sole into the hands of 
Almighty God that gave it and my Body I recommend to the Earth to be Buried in Decent and 
Christian Burial at the Discretion of my Executors nothing Doubting but at the General Day of 
the Resurrection I shall Receive the same again by the Mighty Power of God and as Touching such 
Worldly Estate as it hath Pleased God to bless me with in this Life, I give Demise and dispose 
of the same in the following Manner and form 

Item  I give and bequeath to William DUCK Five Shillings 

Item  I give and bequeath to John DUCK Five Shillings 

Item  I give and bequeath to Jacob DUCK and Nathan DUCK all the Cash that I have to them and 
their Heirs forever, and all the Remainder Part of my Estate to be Equally Divided Between 
Joseph DUCK and Martha JOHNSON and John DUCK & Sarah DUCK to them and their Heirs forever 

I appoint Joseph DUCK to be my Executor of this my last Will and Testament -

At a Court held for Isle of Wight County the 1.st Day of December 1774 
This Will was presented in Court by Joseph DUCK the Executor therein named who made Oath 
thereto According to Law and the same being proved by the Oath's of Sarah DUCK one of the 
Witnesses thereto and Ordered to be Recorded 
     and

on the Mothion of the said Executor who together with Jesse WATKINS and Jethro GALE his 
Securitys entered into and Acknowledged their Bond in the Penalty of two Hundred and Fifty 
Pounds with condition as the Law directs 

Certificate is Granted him for obtaining a Probate thereof in Due form.
