Devised October 14, 1666, Registered December 10, 1666. In Nomin dei, In the Name of God Amen, I Paul Luke being very sick and weak, but my firm memorie and spirit, I praise the lord for it, do make this my last will and testament. I do bequeath to God my Saviour my Soul, whom redeemed me and laid down his life for my sins and rose again for my justification, and whom I believe I shall see at my resurrection, in whom, I trust is my salvation. Amen. As for my body to be decently interred as my loving wife shall think fitting, as for my worldly goods as followeth, I do constitute and ordain my well loved wife Sarah Luke to be my sole executrix of this my last will and testament. Item. Imprimis I give and bequeath unto my loving wife Sarah all my whole estate, as land, chattels, all and singular, both movable and immovable, whatsoever of right I do myself what of right I have, my engagements being fulfilled, and to remain with my wife and in her custody during her natural life. And after her decease to be equally divided between my two children, my son Richard and my daughter Katherine, And that it is my desire that my children should remain with my wife, my sonne until he be seventeen years of age, and my daughter until she be sixteen or married, and if either of my children shall die, the survivor to have the deceased's part, and if they shall both die to redonne to my wife, and to be at her disposing as she shall think fitting. Secondly, I do give and bequeath unto my son Richard Luke two cows, the one is called Cow, the other is called Red, with their filial increase. And to be delivered to him when he dothe come at his years above written out of my estate, marked with swallow tails on each ears. Thirdly, I do give and bequeath to my daughter Katherine Luke two cows valued, of a year old __ years, marked with a swallow tail on each ears, she having already two cows and one heiffer of two years old and one yearling heiffer which was given her by Mr. James Took as will appear upon record. Fourthly, and lastly, it is my true intent and meaning that what I have here given my children by legacies now all and first may not being paid, cut them off from possessing my whole estate, differ my wife dispose for, it is my desire that after my wife's decease, that my two children shall peaceably, equally enjoy all my estate, without any molestation or trouble whatsoever.
