Will of Wade MOUNTFORT (II), 1816 - Isle of Wight County, VA Isle of Wight Co., VA, Will Book 14 (1815-1817), p. 105 abstracted by Matt HARRIS [brackets, line breaks & surname capitalization mine] [p] 105 [margin note] Wade MOUNTFORTTs Will I Wade MOUNTFORTT of the county of Isle of wight do make and ordain this my last Will and testament in manner and form following, that is to say I lend unto my loving wife Sally MOUNTFORTT my land and Plantation during her life or widowhood and if she should marry it is my will and desire that she Should be thirded and at her death it is my will and desire that my Said land and plantation should be equally divided between my two children Zachariah MOUNTFORTT and Wade MOUNTFORTT and in case either of them should die before they arrive to the age of Twenty one Years it is my will and desire that the Surviving one should have all my said Land to them and their heirs forever I lend unto my said my man Cart & wheels two cows and Earling, two sows and pigs five sheep, also all my house hold and kitchen furniture, also all kinds of provision that I have laid in for the family use It is my will and desire that whenever my two daughters named Martha Ann and Rhoda MOUNTFORTT should arrive to the age of Maturity or marry that they have each of them a feather bed and furniture to them and their heirs forever The residue of my estate it is my will and desire should be sold and after paying my Just debts and court charges the balance arising from such sales I give unto my said two daughters Martha Ann and Rhoda MOUNTFORTT to them and their heirs forever And lastly I do hereby costitute and appoint my said wife Sally MOUNTFORTT my executor of this my last will and Testament by me heretofore made In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this Ninth day of January one thousand eight hundred and sixteen Wade MOUNTFORTT *seal* + his mark Signed Sealed and Acknowledgeded in presence of us John WHITFIELD Lucy W.
