In the Name of God Amen:  I Edward ROGERS beinge Weake in body, but perfect memory praised be 
god doe make and ordaine this my last Will and Testament as followeth:
Ite[m]  I bequeath my Soul into the hands of almighty God my Creator hopeinge through the 
meritts of my blessed Saviour Jesus Christ to receive pardon and forgivenesse of all my sins: 
and my body to the ["Earth" struck out] ground to be buried in a Christian Buriall, and as for 
my worldly Estate I bequeath as followeth:
Item, Nine hundred acres of Land scituated and lyinge in Stafford County at the head of 
patomeke Creek with all my moveables and inmoveables that is now in the Custodie of Joseph 
HINSON livinge on the foresayd land, the which Land and all Moveables and inmoveables I give 
Unto Anne MATHEWS John: MOORE and James BARAN; the which three persons Anne MATHEWS: John MOORE
and James BARAN: I Constitute and appoint to be my Lawfull Executors; and all that I have in 
the Isle of wight County the debts or what Else of I give to the forementioned three persons 
they to take all and pay all for Confirmation hereof I have hereunto Sett my hand and Seale the 
day and yeare above wrighten:

     Proved in open Court held for the Isle of Wight County March: the 9:th 1683/4 by the oaths 
of Jn.o JONES and Thomas MASSON to be the will and Testament of Edward ROGERS and ordered to be
