Amen. I Thomas UZZELL, of the Parish of Newport in the County of Isle of Wight: being sick and weak of Body, but, of perfect Mind and Memory, Praise be given therefore to Almighty God for it. In Manner and Form following that is to say, First I Commend my Soul into the Hands of Almighty God that gave it hoping through the Merits Death and Passion of my Saviour Jesus Christ to have full and free Pardon and Forgiveness of all my Sins and my Body I commit to the Earth to be decently buried at the Discretion of my Executors- hereafter named: First I will that all my Debts and funeral Charges be paid and discharged and all my Wordly Goods I Give and dispose of as followeth- Imprimis I Give and Bequeath to my Daughter Martha UZZELL the Bed and Furniture she lies on, two Cows, and Calfs, two Sows and Piggs; two Ewes and Lambs, and One Iron Pott: One Hard Puter Plate: and a Gold Ring to her. and her Heirs forever- Item. I Give to my Son James UZZELL, my Young Horse: and all my trooping Furniture to him and his Heirs forever- Item. I Give and Bequeath to my Son Thomas UZZELL my small Gun and two Cows and Calves. two Ewes. and Lambs. and two Sows and Piggs. and One Feather Bed. and Furniture: to him and his Heirs forever- Item. I Give and Bequeath to my loving Wife Sarah UZZELL my rideing Horse. and Saddle, to her and her Heirs forever- Item. I Give to my Daughter Elizabeth NEWMAN One Cow and Calf Item. I Give and Bequeath to my Son James UZZELL the lower part of my Plantation beginning on the Cypress Side: running to the Mirey Branch: up the Branch to the Fork of the Reedy Branch down the Branch to the Cypress, down the Cypress to the first Station containing One Hundred Eighty six Acres. he shall let his Brother Thomas UZZELL have Timber off, from it, for his Plantations Use to him the said James UZZELL, to him. and his Heirs forever- Item.
