In the name of God Amen, Zelpha VAUGHAN of Isle of wight County in Virginia 
State being in Perfect mind and memory I thank God for the same but calling to 
mind the Shortness of time and the uncertainty of Life I have a desire to give 
my property as follows 
Item  I Give to my son Joseph VAUGHAN one yong Cow and yarlen ['yearling'] to 
him and his heirs forever_ 
also  I Give to my son Joseph VAUGHAN one Desk one Spoted Blanket one Green 
Cheer and two Rams to him and his heirs for Ever_ 
Item  I Give to my Daughter Poley FOWLER one Sow, feather bed and furniture, 
one white bed Civer one Cow and Calf that now gives milk two green cheers one 
trunk one Small Pot one Puter Dish and Plate to heir and heir hyers for ever_ 
Item  I give to my Daughter Patsy VAUGHAN I Give one fether Bed and furniture 
two heffers two Bedd Cover one pached ["one half all" struck out] green Cheers 
one Dish and Plate one black chest one Sow and ten pigs to heir and heir hyers 
for ever_ 
Item  I Give to my Daughter Betsy VAUGHAN one new Bed & furniture one black 
Cow and Yarlen one chest one Ewe two green Cheers one Puter Dish and Plate one 
Pot one Boer fat to heir and heir hyers for ever_ 
my desire iz for the Rest of my my [sic] estate to be Ekelly Divided Between 
them all and not sold_ 
I Do hear by Disanul all and every other will or wills Ritings or Demands 
whatsoever. 
In Witness whereof I have unto Set my hand and Seal this forth Day of January 
Eighteen hundred and Seven _

This Will was presented into Court by Joseph VAUGHAN the Executor therein 
named, who made Oath thereto According to law 
And the Same being proved by the Oaths of John ENGLISH Thomas FOWLER and Mary 
FOWLER the Witnesses thereto; and ordered to be

And on the motion of Said Executor who together with James JOHNSON his 
Security, entered into and Acknowledged their bond in the penalty of one 
thousand Dollars with Condition az the law directs- Certificate iz granted him 
for obtaining probate thereof in due form_
