Devised June 18, 1711, No probate date. In the name of God amen, I Henry Wiggs of the Isle of Wight County being Weak of body do make and ordain this my last Will and Testament in manner following: I do give and bequeath unto my Son George Wiggs and to his heirs all my Land from my escheat pattin line to all that I possess towards the landing butt if in Case my Son William Wiggs when he comes of Age will give and Confirme unto my Son George Wiggs and his heires all the land of the other side of the swamp which wee call Owen's Swamp upwards beginning att the mouth of the swamp whch is over agt Ruebin Gledhill's, itt being the Swamp that runs Up and parts Harris’ Neck and the plantation whch Owen Griffin lived on, butt if in Case my Son William Wiggs do Confirme the above menconed Land to my Son George Wiggs and his heires, then my Son William Wiggs and his heires shall have whch I gave to my Son George Wiggs and his heires, but if my Son William should die wthout Issue, then shall George and his heires have William's part and Luke and his heires shall have George's part and if George die wthout Issue, Luke and his heires to have George's part. Item, I do give and bequeath unto my Daughter Catherine Wiggs one Bell Mettle Morter and a Black hood. Item, I do give and bequeath unto my Daughter Sarah one Black hood. Item, I do give and bequeath unto my daughter Elizabeth one Bible and a Black hood. Item, I do give unto my [son] Luke Wiggs fifteen hundred pounds tob[acco] to be paid out of my Wife's part. I do give unto my Grandaughter Catherine one Cow Calf to be delivered to her father when she is seven years of age and she to have the female increase. Item, I do give unto my loving Wife my negro man and negro woman to be att her disposing and all the Corne and all the Wheat and all the Cotton and all the Wool that Shall be in the house or houses or that shall be growing in the field. I give unto my wife for the maintenance of her family likewise my Loom and Slays and Harness and Shettle? and all things belonging thereunto and my Carpenter tool[s] My Cross Cutt Saw and Iron Wedges, I do give unto my Wife and my three youngest Sons, further I do give unto my wife all the Hoggs for the Maintaining of her family and my will and desire is that the rest of my Estate should be Equally divided betwixt my four Sons and my four daughters and my Wife to have two parts of the dividend and my Son Henry and my four daughters to have theire parts paid them directly after my decease in things as they are and I do make my Loveing Wife my full and Whole Erx. of this my last Will and testament, Revokeing all other Wills formerly made. I appoint Matthew Jordan, Blackaby Terrell, and John Scott to be my Trustees to See an Equall division made and wch is to be Appraised or Vallued to Appraise or Vallue what it is to be Appraised and Vallued. But in case my wife should die before the Children comes of Age, My Will is that my trustees take care of them or keep them themselves or putt them out where they may be brought up amongst friends untill they be Nineteen yeares of Age and then to have their liberty and portions delivered unto them and my Will and desire is that my Wife sattisfie the trustees for their Care and trouble.
